Randall Lineback noun[ C ] uk /ˌræn.dəl ˈlaɪn.bæk/ us /ˌræn.dəl ˈlaɪn.bæk/(alsoRandall) a type of rare North American cow, usually black and white, with a white stripe along its back and under its body. It was originally kept for its milk and meat and as a work animal: Randall Linebacks, like most of the early domestic cattle, were multipurpose animals. They now have the largest herd of Randall cattle in the country. On the menu were Chesapeake Bay oysters, and veal from Randall Lineback cows. The zoo had acquired some Randall Lineback cattle.
