One of the most beautiful wild plants in the onion family is the camass, not to be confused with the "death camass", which has white flowers. It appears that death camas toxicity changes with the weather. Death camas recently killed about two dozen sheep in the area. Reports of sheep and cattle fatalities to death camas and larkspur are being reported.
