The coronal suture forms a line that crosses the top of the skull from temple to temple. In adults, the coronal suture fuses the frontal bone with the two parietal bones. From these attachments, the fibres are directed upwards to the coronal suture. The abrasion is slightly posterior to the coronal suture.
