agreed bid noun[ C ] FINANCEukus an offer to buy enough shares in a company to gain control of it, which the company's directors suggest that shareholders accept: An agreed bid could ultimately satisfy shareholders on both sides.
Examples of agreed bid agreed bid Since it is an agreedbid, then failure is most likely to come from the bid being rejected by the anti-trust authorities.
