There is notorious recency bias, whereby much too much weight is given to the most recent piece of data, just because it is recent. He was concerned with reducing the extreme recency bias of the internet. A longer interval between pre-test and post-test reduces the recency bias. Limited sampling and recency biases both increase the influence of frequent events over rare ones.
