Along with the clavicle, the scapula forms the pectoral girdle. The pain is usually most severe around the pelvic and pectoral girdles. The scapula also articulates with the clavicle to form the shoulder girdle or pectoral girdle. Large portions of the pectoral girdle and forelimb have been preserved, but are disarticulated.
